Constructed with a cylindrical ozone vessel made of SS316 stainless steel, the De Nora generator is designed for horizontal installation. The working pressure of the vessel is set at 1.4 bar gauge, while the design pressure reaches up to 2.5 bar gauge. The innovative electrode system for ozone generation consists of grounded stainless steel tubes welded between two stationary plates, housing a total of 127 dielectric tubes made from 1.6 mm thick borosilicate glass.
These tubes feature metallized inner surfaces, creating an efficient ozone generation environment in the predictable space between the outer diameter of the dielectric tube and the inner diameter of the steel tube.
The generator operates at a working voltage of 9–9.5 kV and maintains a fixed frequency of 1000±3000 Hz, with a dielectric breakdown voltage of 91 kV. To manage the heat generated during ozone production, cooling water circulates outside the generator's casing, with an inlet/outlet temperature of 12/17 °C for each unit.
Additionally, each ozone-generating element is equipped with its own fuse for selective shutdown, ensuring safety and reliability in operation.
