The ozone leak detector from Crowcon uses an electrochemical sensing principle to continuously monitor potential ozone (O₃) leaks in ambient air, providing a reliable safety solution for industrial environments where ozone exposure poses a risk. It incorporates an electrochemical cell sensor calibrated for accurate measurement of ozone concentrations from 0 to 1 ppm volumetric O₃, with linearity and accuracy better than 0.5 % of full scale. The unit includes a digital display for local readout and a standard 4–20 mA analogue output for remote monitoring and integration with control systems.

The detector is designed to trigger alarms when ozone exceeds safety thresholds, with a warning level set at 0.1 ppm and a system shutdown/interlock trigger at 0.3 ppm, ensuring rapid protective action. It can be powered from a 10–40 V DC supply (50–60 Hz compatibility) or battery power, and is suitable for operation in environments from –20 °C to +55 °C with high relative humidity (up to 99 % RH). The rugged housing provides IP65 dust and moisture protection, making it suitable for industrial installations and harsh conditions.
